SYDNEY, 30th March. The Sonoma lowered the Ventura's record, doiug the trip from San Francisco to Sydney in eighteen days, sixteen hours. KAIKOfRA TO LOAD. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Kaikoura is due at AVellington on Thursday next to complete Homeward loading. She has been fixed to sail for London about A week later. CAIRNROSS RETURNS TO WELLINGTON. At an early hour this morning the steamer Calmfoss, which is tinder chnrter to the New Zealand Shipping Company, returned to Wellington. At daybreak the vessel was berthed at the King's Wharf, where she will complete Homeward loading. She is fixed to sail on Thursday next for London, via Monte Video add 'Teneriffe. REMUERA ARRIVES AT HOBART THIS EVENING. Yesterday afternoon the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company received advice stating that the RemUera had been reported oft the Tasmaniail coast. Captain Greenstreet notiflpd by wireless that he expected to make Hobnrfc at G o'clock this evennig. The Remuera left London oh the 20th February for Wellington, and it is probable she will arrive at this port some time next Sunday. THE PAKEHA. Wireless advice has been received at the local head office of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company that the Pakeha, from London, expects to be off Tiritiri light (Auckland) on Thursday morning. As she has a large quantity of cargo to put out at thu northern port, she will not get away from there for Wellington, via Gisborne and Napier, until the 13th April. She is due here about the 18th. and after discharge of the local portion of her cargo, proceeds to Bind. To continue loading Timaru or Lyttelton will subsequently be visited, and the vessel will then come back to Wellington about the 2nd May. After completing operations she should sail for London .about the 4th May. TOKOMARU'S LOADING PORTS. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Tokomaru, which Is /)i present on tier way ont from London in bnllast, is expected at Wellington Heads about the 14th April. On arrival she will be ordered on to Timaru to commence Homeward loading about the loth. She afterwards visits tlTe following ports in the order mentioned :— Port Chalmers, Whangarei, Gisborne, and Napier. From the latter port .she comes on to Wellington to complete loading, being expected here about the 29th April, and is scheduled to sail for Londoira day or so later. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following steamers should be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night ;— -Awnnui : Riverimi and Talune. Auckland: 1 Rlverina. Talune, Victoria, Pakeha, and Willochro. Wellington : Westralia, Maitai, Wahine, Maori, Rangatira, and Willochra. Awarua, Ullmaroa. Chatham Islands: Nairnshire. ROSCOMMON TO LOAD. i In addition to Wellington, two other New Zealand ports are to be included in the loading programme of the steamer Roscommon, which is the next vessel to load for Boston and New York. She is due at Bluff from Australia on the 14th April, at Lyttelton two days later, and at Wellington about the 18th. Departure tor tho American** ports is at present fixed for the 20th April. PERSONAL. Mr, E. Nicholas has rejoined the Wahine as chief officer. SURREY'S MOVEMENTS. From Lyttelton, the F. and S. Line's steamer Surrey sailed for Wanganui last night, to continue Homeward loading. She afterwards goes to Waitara and Picton, and then comes on to Wellington to complete operations. She is expected here on Tuesday, and is timed to sail for Avoumouth, via Las Palinas, on the 10th. April. It is now anticipated that the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Athenic will get away for Lyttelton on Thursday next to put out the remainder of her Home cargo. She afterwards commences loading there, and then comes ba«k to Wellington about the 14th April, She Is fixed to sail for London, viu way ports, on the 23rd April. The F. and S. steamer Wiltshire arrived at Melbourne from Liverpool on the 22nd March last. Cable advices state that the s.s. Canada Cape arrived at San Francisco on the 21st March from Sydney, via ports. According to Sydney advices received by the la3t mail, the Tyser steamer Mimiro was to have left Liverpool on the 28th March for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports. The Sydney Shipping List announces still another charter of a vessel to bring superphosphates from the Seychelles. It Is that of the barque Agda, of 56G tons. It is announced that the Tyser steomer Marere will leave New York on the 4th May for Australian and New Zealand ports.
