PAINTERS UNION PICNIC

The annual picnic of the Wellington Paint el* and Decorators' Union, which was allowed to lapse for several years, was revived on Salurdayj when an enjoyable outing wa& spent bjwthe local tradesmen, their wives, families, and friends at Day's Bay. The committee in. charge of the .arrangements comprised :— Mos&re. J., Hall, H. Plank,' F. Wallis, W. Douglas W. Cooper, E. Kinward, and D. Matthews. During ths afternoon a sporte programme was gob off, Mr. T. Wilmot acting a« handicapper and Mr, P. O'Neill as starter. Mr. F. Cornvill officiated a* secretary.
