BODY IDENTIFIED AN INQUEST ADJOURNED.

,'it msaiura— priss aimchtioh.) DUNEDIN, This Day. The body,, found on the foreshore at the end of the Victoria Wharf has been definitely identified as that of William Bills, a rabbiter, aged between fifty and sixty ' years. Ho left Marenga station two months ago, since which time no knowledge of his movements had been obtained. The circumstances of his disappearance, while not favouring any theory of foul play, do not eliminate the possibility of it; consequently, at an inquest this morning the police asked for an adjournment after calling medical evidence. This evidence showed bruises on the head, which might be either the result of falls or blows. The condition of the stomach was consistent with chronic alcoholism. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
