BLASPHEMY LAW ITS REPEAL URGED.
(By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (TIMES tND SIDNKY SUN SERVICES.) LONDON, 27th March. A deputation interviewed tho Prime Minister (Mr. Asquith), and urged him to repeal the blasphemy Jaw, stating that there had been moie prosecutions under the law in the last six years than in the 'pieceding sixty. The law had been used to gratify" private malic*. While a Christian could use offensive language against other religions, a freethinker who attacked Christianity was imprisoned. Mr. Abquith replied that most of the statutes on this subject were obsolete, and he agreed to introduce legislation!
