This Association will aim to establish important principles on all matters affecting the welfare and developmejit of New Zealand, and, generally speaking, give attention to anything affecting the interests of our Members as against those of other individuals with possibly less claim to consideration. By means of this association it is hoped to induce the native-born to take an intelligent and active interest in their own affairs and, with the growing of mutual interests, promote a better understanding between master and man in the various pjanes of citizenship which form our social structure. Schemes will be brought forward for raising funds whereby we can assist our own members who, by unfortunate circumstances, are in ur-gent-need of assistance. The Association will_,ha.ye no formula or secret signs, and- -will* open- ita membership. <to all respectable native-born males or females over the age of seventeen years, or persons having resided in New Zealand for twenty-five years. We do not intend to interfere in questions of party politics, but in 'matters affecting the welfare of New Zealand as a whole we claim to have the right to be heard, and if ever the^ occasion demands our power as a national association shall be distinctly recognised. We are to be non-sectarian, and will enquire into no man's religion, nor allow any religious discussion at our meetings Every member is expected to do all in his power to at all times assist his fellow members. CONSTITUTION. This association shall consist of an unlimited number of respectable male and female members, who shall be natives of New Zealand or have resided in the Dominion for a period of 25 years. SUBSCRIPTION. The subscription has been fixed at the low figure of 5s per annum, so that the help and influence of the association may be within reach of all. BANKERS. The bankers of the association shall be the Bank of New Zealand, and all moneys paid out shall be by cheque signed by the Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary. AUDITOR.
