For South America, via Monte Video and Rio de Janeiro; Teneriffe; also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (due London 7tn May) per Rangatira, 3.30 p.m. (Correspondence for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe must be specially addressed.) For Nelson, per Nikau, 1.20 p.m. For Kaikoura, p<s£. Wakatu, 3.20 p.m. For Southern Offices of New Zealand, also Greymouth, Hokitika, and Reefton, per Maori, 7.45 p.m. The Parcel Post Mail per Main Trunk Express closes at the C.P.O. at 10.30 a.m., and for the South per ferry steamer at 8 p.m. As the last clearance of the City receivers is made at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.nf. on Sunday. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes. Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels post packages must be handed in and money orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All the principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Courtenay-place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for Southern Offices, also mails for Auckland and Auckland District by the second Main Trunk train, close at 6 p.m. A.
