RUMOURED RESIGNATION OF MIJSI&TERS. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (TIMES AND SYDNEY SUN SERVICES.) PARIS, 25th March. Paris is filled with excited political rumours of acute tension in the Cabinet. Four Ministers are credited with the intention of resigning. The elections have been fixed for 26th April. MURDER OF CALMETTE. ACCUSED WOMAN'S EVIDENCE. PARIS, 25th March. Madame Caillaux, interrogated at the enquiry into the death M. Calmette, editor of Figaro, said that at lunch on the day of the murder her husband was exasperated on hearing a judicial opinion that he had no legal meaais of stopping the Figaro's attacks. He said : "I'll smash his mug!" Her husband's words frightened her. Finally, he was worked up to such a state that she decided to see M. Calmette, fearing her husband would kill him, in which case she would be the cause as the author of the letters, the publication of which she feared. At 3.30 she went to a gunsmith, purchased a Browning pistol, and tested it on the spot. She shot M. Calmette* in a moment of mental aberration. She reiterated that she bought the revolver as a precaution against the risks of electioneering journeys.
