SAN FRANCISCO EXHIBITION

NEW ZEALAND PRODUCTS. AN AMER.rCAN~SUGGESTION. j The_ question of New Zealand's repre-' sentation at the San Francisco Exhibi* tion was mentioned to the American Trade Commission of the National Association of Manufacturers to-day. It was explained that it was intended to have a good display of New Zealand's primary products. "You would do well," remarked one! of the American Trade Commissioners, , " to have at that exposition nioving picture demonstrations of your dairying, wool, and fruit interests, etc. A part of your- exposition might well be taken up by a theatre in which you could show the extent of your dairy tndustiies — say, for instance, the operation of the milking machines, the methods of sheep-shearing, etc., and the big steamers being loaded with cargoes of wool and other produce. " You can take tons of literature there, and a great deal of it will be read and a great deal of it won't; but if jou can have it noised about that there is a I moving picture exhibition showing what you have to offer down hero it would be a good thing. And it would not do any harm to include some views of your scenery. These moving pictures would all help to impress upon Americans your great development along the lines of wool, dairy produce. ' fruit, etc. Both ( Mr. Parry and Mr. Kirby also emphasised the important educative and trade value of catefully selected and striking moving pictures. They reached the people quicker than literature.
