PANAMA EXHIBITION. (Nt mzoFHPH— sncn\, to thr post.) PALMERSTON N., -This Day. At a nieeting of the A. and P. Association Committee yesterday, Messrs. J. M. Johnston, W. M'Kenzie, and Major Dunk were appointed to represent the association on the Central Committee, which is acting conjointly with thfy Government in raising an ' exhibit from New Zealand for the Panama Exhibition. The president (Mr. M'Rae) also reported on the recent meeting held to consider the matter, and mentioned that the appointment of a secretary had been held over. The Finance Committee had met and recommended that the speaker be authorised to spend up to £5 as a contribution towards the salary of a secretary. The recommendation was adopted. Mr. G. A. Lundie, M.A. , has appealed to the Teachers' Aupeal Board ngainat his dismissal from the position of assistant master at the High School by the Board of Governors. The project to establish co-operative freezing works in the district has not met with much success. Mr. J. Balsillie, the prime mover in the matter, states that ho was afraid the scheme would fall through. He had been steadily bringing it before farmers, but he could not arouse the enthusiasm necessary, to bring the proposal to fruition.
