AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES
Messrs. j! H. Bethune and Co. will hold a book sale on Wednesday next, in conjunction with Messrs. Wi H. Turnbull and Co., at the latters' rooms. The catalogue contains 300 lots, including works from tho libraries of the late John Gammell and the late Dr. M 'Arthur. On Thursday, at 1 p.m., at No. 159, The Terrace, under instructions from Mi&s Gray, who is leaving for England, they are selling the contents of nine rooms, including piano. The furniture will be on view on Wednesday afternoon and morning of the sale. On Tuesday, 31st inst., at 1 p.m., at No. 12a, George-street, under instructions from Mr. W. B. Fisher, the firm aro selling furniture. The firm insert an amended list of business and residential properties for sale, also a number of houses to let. Messrs. E. Johnston and Co., on Monday, will sell furniture, including piano, at No. 68, Majoribanks-street, commencing at 1.30. On Tuesday they will sell furniture, piano, etc., at No. 12, Springfield-terrace, Kelburne, commencing at 1.30. On Wednesday, commencing at 1, they^ will hold a sale in their rooms of furniture. On Thursday, at 11 o'clock, they will sell timber and iron; and on Monday, 30th March, they will sell furniture at No. 336, Wool-combe-street. On Saturday, 4th April, at the Glencoe Poultry Eanch, the firm will sell 300 ' head of poultry. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. will sell by public auction, al their rooms, 195, Lambton-quay, on Saturday, 4th April, at noon, by order of the mort^flo'ee, the leasehold properties having a frontage to Adelaide-road of 60ft by a depth of 165 ft, and known as Nos. 429 and 431. The firm also advertise their amended selection of houses for sale, or to let. They have also a number of offices, shops, and basements, for storage accommodation, to let in business parts of the city. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co., on Monday, at 1 o'clock, will sell at the homestead yards, Happy Valley, under instructions from tho holders of the bill of sale, 24 cows and horses. On Wednesday, at 1.30 p.m., they will hold their weekly sale of furniture, also four pianos. On Friday, at 11 a.m., the firm will conduct a sale of Russian furs. A preliminary notice appears of a clearing sale of furniture at the shop premises, 200, Cuba-street, on behalf of Mr. George Linley, who has sold his premises. The sale will commence at 11 a.m. on Monday, 30th March. At their rooms, Fruit Exchange, on Monday next, at 11 a.m., Messrs. Thompson Bros., Ltd., will sell by public auction two express horses, one spring cart, two crates crockery, ten boxes merchandise, and sundries. At 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday, Messrs. C. W. Price and Co. will hold a sale of household furniture at 60, Lambtonquay.
