WOMEN SUFFRAGE
DEFEATED IN UNITED STATES SENATE. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received March 12, 11.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 19th March. Senate defeated the women suffrage amendments 'by 44 votes to 21. A two-thirds vote was required to carry such a resolution.
