A wireless message from the Chatham Islands states that the Himitangi sailed for Lyttelton at 6 o'clock last night. She is taking live stock to the southern port, and on discharge will return to the Islands to load fish for Wellington, coming to this port vta Lyttelton. In connection with the trade in which the Himitangi has been engaged durlug the last two trips, it is interesting to note that the first shipment of cattle from the Islands was made in the year 1846. .
