TRACTION ENGINE-DRIVER'S DEATH. (IT TKESIUPH— PRBBS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER, 4th March. A iataißy occurred this morning at 'Pukefitiri, about 35 mile* inland from Kapler, whereby a single man named Allen Nichafeoa, 23 years old, lost his life. Nttchoteon wae driving a traction engine bringing two truck loads of timber to towib, and vrhen an embankment, I about a- mile along the road, was reafth1 ed, the steering chain carried away and , the engine went over the side, dragging | a, truck with ifc hito & golly 12ft deep. The engine turned completely ov^r. Nwholson was struck on the head with the draiw-pin of tbe trailer, the iron penetrating the head and causing instantenreaos death. | MAN FOTJNP DEAD IN BED.
