PROSPECTS OF PURCHASE j The committee which is endeavouring to" raise the £6000 required to complete the purchase of Day's Bay bush and grounds is still prosecuting the scheme, and has already added_ considerably to its numbers. *A tentative plan of canvassing the city has been mapped out, but even now more canvassers are required and efficient volunteers will_ be welcomed. Several additional donations have been received, but the committee is looking for big sums and has good hopes of the result of to-day's operations. Some misunderstanding appears to have arisen in certain quarters as to the details of the option of purchase which the committee has secured. A canvass is a-lso being made amongst the Chinese residents.
