TALLY CLERKS' AGREEMENT. TO BE MADE INTO AWARD. An agreement has been arrived at in the Tally Clerks' dispute, and the parties are now awaiting the sitting of the Conciliation Council to have the agreement made an award. ' According to the decision of the Magistrate in the case of alleged victimisation brought by the Labour Department, the union had to reelect ilis officers, and at a meeting held since the case was heard this was done, although (Mr. R. A. Simpson, the secretary, told a Post reporter) the election was previously confirmed. The meeting also passed a, resolution disagreeing with the decision and thanking the Inspector of the Labour Department for the action ho had taken.
