Present fashions for women are responsible to a. degree for the high cost of living, according to Dr. Alonzo E. Taylor, chemistry professor in the medical school of the University of Pennsylvania. I "The 1914 styles," Dr. Taylor has declared, "compel women to wear fewer and thinner clothes.
