» ' ■ («t telegraph— phess association.) TIMAEU, esth February. At tho third wool sale to-day 3086 bales \veve offered and 2758 sold. Thd offerings were chiefly back-country merino and halfbreds. The wool was rather heavy, and a good deal was dingy and shabby. Bradford buyers bid keenly for crossbreds, three-tiuarterbred) and half* breds. Compared with the January sale, Sood conditioned cross and three-quarter-reds showed an advance in price ; halfbreds and medium quality were at about January rates.
