SIR E. SHACKLETON'S EXPEDITION LECTURE BY PROFESSOR DAVID MATERIAL OF SCIENTIFIC IMPORTANCE. (Bj Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) LONDON, sth February. Professor David read a paper before the Royal Geographical Society on " Some Unsolved Problems of the Antarctic." It was largely technical. Referring to Sir Ernest Shackleton's new expedition, he said it would bring back material of lasting scientific importance. Professor David also eulogised Dr. Mawson's meteorological work, feis reference to the Commonwealth retaining the wireless station at the Macquaries was received with cheers. Sir Ernest Shackleton said he was taking four geologists and four other scientists.
