Hawera unanimously resolved to express thorough appreciation of tho importance of the benefits of the work, but wished to point out the impossibility of doing justice to this import-ant branch of education without some lightening of the work required by the standard syllabus on the intellectual side. A copy of the resolution is to be sent to the Inspectors' Conference in Wellington.
