The committee of the King Edward Memorial Fund has been advised by an anonymous lady, who promised a cum of £25,000 towards the laying out of a public park, that she is unable, owing to sudden financial misfortunes, to fulfil the undertaking. A further appeal to the public is therefore necessary.
