A. Rhodes, Lady of Grace of the j Order of St. John of Jerusalem, and to tender to Mrs. Moorhouse and other re* j latives their deepest sympathy." Mrs. S. D. Tripe seconded the motion with some appropriate remarks, mentioning that she had known Mrs. Rhodes for 50 years, that her services on behalf of suffering humanity would never be forgotten locally, and that her name would be .jerpetuated by the Chapter of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in its Homage Roll as long as ever the Order existed. The resolution was carried the committee silently standing up as it was put. The senior nurse submitted the reports on the district nursing work which had been carried on since last meeting, and from this it was gleaned that thirty-four additional patients had been registered, sixty-seven had received nursing treatment, and 909 visits had been paid by Nurses Macandrew and Walton. The following contributions were acknowledged : — T. G. Macarthy Trust Board, £50; Dresden Company, £1 Is ; Te Aro House, £1 Is ; Briscoe and Company, £1 Is (per Mrs. A. A. Corrigan) ; Mrs. D. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Tripe, and Mrs. Moorhouse was duly elected president, subject to the , approval of the Council of the Order of St. John in London. On the motion of Mrs. Moorhouse, seconded by Mrs. Tripe, a vote of sympathy was unanimously accorded Mr. J. G. W. Aitken (a trustee of the" guild) in his illness, and hopes were expressed by members for his speedy recovery.
