(VI mKORAfH.-PRBSS ASSOCIATION.) WAI MATE, 3rd February. Jas. Ancel, a bricklayer and an old Waimate resident, was drowned in tho Waimate Greek this forenoon. He was crossing tho creek in a trap when the flood water turned the vehicle over, and Ancel was carried down tho stream, tho body being found half a mile further down this afternoon. Deceased was ovei 60 years of age. TIMARU, 3rd February. A young man, whose name has not been ascertained, was loitering about the wharf near the s.s. FlorA to-tlay, and fell into the sea, striking his head on & fender. Ho w«s rescued Ln an unconscioui state, aud taken to the hospital. ,
