BAND CONCERT
The Hibernian Band of Invercargill, j the champion brtms band (B grade) of the | South Island, will arrive here on imday , morning, en route to the Auckland Band i Contest. This band, which was only formed in 1907, has come to the frontremarkably well. Tho band, through the > kindness of the Yen. Archdeacon Devoy, I will give an open-air concert at St. Anne's j Church grounds, Green-street, New town, j on Friday evening, and the public of i Wellington tvill have a chance of jud.7- ' ing of it« capabilities. The local llibor- , tiian Socioty will escort rhe band from St. . Patrick's Hail to St. Anne's on Friday evening, and after the concert will enter- i tain the members at St. Anne's Hall. A collection v ill' bo taken dp in the grounds in aid of tho band's fund.
