The late Lord Strathcona left his Scottish estate and half a million to the heir succeeding to the title, and the residue to his daughter. The residue is subject to many legacies for educational, .charitable, and religious institutions, in* eluding £200,000 to the Victoria College, Montreal, and £100,000 each to the Victoria Hospital at Montreal and Yale University.
