' The Marylebone Cricket team is playing a match against a Transvaal Eleven. Marylebone's first innings realised 386 (Hearne 136) and the second innings was declared closed when 211 runs were scored without the loss of a wicket (Hobbs 131 and Rhodes 76). Transvaal in the fii'st Venture made 347 (Zulch 62 and Beaumont 65) and in the second lost six wickets for 145. The match was drawn.
