YACHTING RACES

RUNA CAPSIZES. Two yacht races were held by the Heretaunga Boat Club, of Petone, on Saturday last. Starters in the race for 14-footers were :— Gil Bias (7min), Marguerite (scr), Miro (2min), Runa (scrj. In a choppy sea, the Miro and Runa, the leading yachts, rounded the distancebuoy. Then the Runa capsized. However, those on board the other yachts coming to hoi' assistance, she was soon righted, and towed to the island. There she was rigged out for the run home, her ci'ew being none the worse for their experience. The race was declared off.
