(BY TELEGRAPH— SPECIAL TO THB POST.) FEATIIERSTON, This thy, Mr. W. Bcnton, who has been % member of tho Featherston Town Board for a lpiigthy period, has tendered Ins resignation. An extraordinary vacancy has thus been created, and an election to fill i lie office will be held at tho end of tho month. The pastures throughout the district have changed their aspect during the past few weeks consequent upon tho i bpell of fine weather, and rain will bo welcome. A motor-cycle race meeting is to be held on the Tnuherenikati racecourse under the auspices _of tho Wairarapa Automobile Association.
