Lyttelton Beat, the Lyttelton Times, ignoring the doctrines of the Reds' official organ, tried to convince tlie public that Social Democrats had a different red brand from the Federation of Labour. In the current issue of tho Maoriland Worker is an article by "The Vag.," headed : "Lyttelton. Won by Red Feds/," with this statement : —"Who is Jimmy M'Cornbs? What does 'a matter? The Social Democrats won. We aro pleased we got a good man, we are pleased because we know that Mac will never put a ye/low staiii on th>, had Flag."
