No enquiry has yet been held as to the cause of the stranding of the barque Wild Wave (well-known in Wellington) near Flinders Island at the end of September last. It is noW considered that difficulty will be experienced in holding the investigation, owing to the fact that most of the crew left the vessel after she v/us laid up at Launceston for repairs. These havo now been completed, and the Wild Wate was to have sailed for South Australia thi» week. The Wootton is to leave Kaiapol to-morrow with a load of produce for Wellington. She will probably return to Lyttelton with cargo on Saturday. Messrs. Johnston and Co., Ltd., advise that the Ripple will leave Wellington for Napier .and Qisbotne on Monday next instead of Tues-
