COLD AND SHOWERY
The cyclone which prevailed during the past day or two only covered a small axea, and passed between 9 and 10 o'clock last night through Cook Strait, when the barometer was below 29in. The weather was more intense on the northern than the 'southern side of the Strait, but the • wind changed to tho southerly during the night, and heavy rain fell. The barometer has risen two*-thirds of an inch since last night. "Decreasing southerly winds, with cold uud showery wr.athoi-," waa Mr. BttUra'u foroearit, this afternoon.
