REOPENING THE MINES
MEN MUST REGISTER FIRST (BY TBLEQKAPH—SPECIAL 10 THE POST.) DUNEDIN, This Day. On what may be regarded, as trustworthy information, it is 'eported that when the coal mines of New Zealand are Teopened in January, oae of the conditions will be that all the men returning to work must join under the Arbitration Act. The mines will not be reopened unless, they comply with this condition. If there is*any hesitancy the mines will be manned one at a time as the hands come forward. This will apply to sdl the coal mines, in th© Dominion. [Enquiries made in authoritative quarters in Wellington entirely confirm this information as accurate.]
