"Old Salt."— Regarding the loss of the Ohau, a. correspondent ("F.J.H.") corrects the statement. The Ohau, he writes, was last seen off Cape Campbell on the 14th May, 1809, steaming against a heavy southerly gale. (Vide Marine Report, 1000). "Parent."— A fine, or, in the alternative, military detention, is the penalty. Making further enquiry.
