m» • BREAKING-UP CEREMONY. The breaking-up ceremony in connection with St. Anne'e Convent School took place in St. Anne's Hall last ovening. T*he ha|£ was packed, those present including His Grace Archbishop O'Shea and the^Ven- Archdeacon Devoy, S.M., both of wherii addressed the children Before, the prizes were presented the students gave an entertaining operetta, "The Crystal Queen." Those taking part were : Misses Lena Roblneon, Lily O'Leary, Mary Gormley, Kathleen Maloney, Eileen Ryan, Etnel 'Lingard, El}a Gamble^ Unice Bezer, Mary Robinson, Winifnde Wallace, Nellie Davis, Annie Hutcheeon, Elsie Kraua, and Eileen Maloney. The junior pupils, under the, direction of Miss Doris Guise, executed, a scarf danca with pleasing effect, and Master N. Liardet gave two enjoyable recitations. The prize-list ie appended : — Qhristian Doctrine.— Senior division : Gold medal Constance Fuller. Junior division: Silver medal, Ella Gamble; prize, Mary Robinson, Edith Nelson, Good Conduct. — Senior division : Medal (gift of Yen. Arch. Devoy), N. M'Enirny. Junior division : M. Gillon.
