Mr. R. G. Ecclesfied, examining officer in. the Customs Department at Christchurch, has beerf appointed collector of customs at Greymouth in succession to Mr. T. R. Hord, who has been promoted to the position of ohief clerk in the head office, rendered vacant by the appointment of Mr. G. Craig, LL.B., as assistant secretary.
