CENSURE MOTION IN FEDERAL HOUSE. IT FIZZLES OUT. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) MELBOURNE, 7th November. The no-confidence debate fizzled out in a remarkable manner. After Mr. Fisher (Leader of the Opposition), Mr. Cook , (the Prime Minister), and, Mr. Hughes (Opposition) had spoken, Mr. Cook olaimed that the question was an ordinary notice of motion, discussion of which must be adjourned at the end of two hours' debate. The Speaker upheld the point, and there were several stormy scenes. Mr. Cook stated subsequently that the motion must now disappear from the business paper of the House — tho i Government would treat it with contempt — because Mr. Fisher had not raised ahy new .matter in his speech. The debate was closured by 24 votes to 12.
