TIMARU A "SCAB" PORT

TIMARU, 7th November. The crews of the Ngahere and Petone to-day received a notice from Mr. Young, secretary to the Seamen's Union, that Timaru is deemed a "scab" port, and they must not work Timaru cargo. The Ngahere's c r ew were not employed on cargo, but ihe Petone'a were, and when they got toe notice they knocked off, but by that, time the boat had been fully loaded for Napier. Both boats left this evening, the Ngahere for a port undisclosed.
