RATES OF PAY.
Clause S.~ Tho wages to be paid to engineers per calendar month snail bo :—: — Chief engineers: Under 20 n.h.p., £21; from 20 to under 40 n.h.p., £22; from 40 to under 60 n.h.p., £22 10s. j from CO to under 80 n.h.p., £23 10s. j from 80 to 100 n.h.p., £23 10s. j second engineers, £17 10s. ; third engineors, £15 10s. Tho above scale does not prescribe tho number of engineers to bo carried by any, steamer.
