BIG BIDS BY NORTHERN UNION. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.—Copyright.)(Received October 31, 9 a.m) LONDON, 30th October. The Sportsman states that E. J. Butchers and Percy Baker, three-quar-ters in the Devon Albion Amateur Rugby Club, have refused sensational offers to Join a Northern Union club in Yorkshire. It is understood that the ,club offered Butchers £1000 down and an appointment at £200 a year.
