AUCKLAND DRIVERS' DECISION AUCKLAND, 30th October.

Considerable interest was evinced in to-night's meetjng of ..the Auckland Drivers' Union, in view of the. fact that with the watersiders it forms the local transport section of the United Federation of Labour, therefore sympathetic action was expected. The meeting was largely attended, and lasted about two hours. At the close the officials announced that 800 men had unanimously decided they would not cart j;oods handled by free labour. Most of the local shipping will not be affected by this decision, because in the past the cargo in many of the smaller craft has been worked by tho crows, and it ivas decided, after discussion, that any former arrangements would be allowed to stand. Should the crews of the large steamers work cargo they wili be looked upon as free labourers.
