SHORTAGE OF COAL

During the week the coal-yards in the city and suburbs have been gradually depleted, and as there aro no means of replenishing stocks at present the outlook .for householders is not too promising. Since Tuesday last orders have only been accepted at one of the principal yards conditionally on fresh supplies of coal coming forward to meet the demand. At others orders have been only partially filled during the past few' days. (
