♦ TURKEY AND GREECE FORMER'S REPLY UNCOMPROMISING NAVAL RIVALRY. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) ATHENS, 29th October. It is believed that, despite Greece's concessions on important points, Turkey's reply is uncompromising. She insists upon demands which Greece finds it impossible to graoit. CONSTANTINOPLE, 29th Oct. Owing to Greece's reported purchaseof the Chilian Dreadnoaght -Almirante Latorre (building at Ehswick yards), the press urges the Turkish officials to forego part of their arrears of pay, and tho merchants to surrender a percentage of their profits, to enable Turkey to purchase one more Dreadnought. [The Almirante Latorre is cailed after a distinguished officer who, as a captain, captured the liuascar in the war between Chili and Peru. Her keel was laid in December, 1911, and she is to be completed next year. She will be 28,000 tons displacement. Tho contract for her turbines was given to Messrs. John Brown and Co., Clydebank.] WESTERN THRACE. BULGARIAN OCCUPATION OF TERRITORY. ALLEGED ATROCITIES. *< v SOFIA, 29th October. The Bulgarian occupation of territory allotted in Western Thraco has been completed. Bulgarian troops in the neighbourhood of Gumuljina discovered that about 1000 Bulgarian women, children, and old men wnom the Turks had handed over to the Bashi-Bazouks had been tortured, young girls violated, and killed. Sixty of the survivors wero in a desperate plight.
