PORTUGUESE RISING
r m ARMY AND NAVY TOOK A LARGE PART. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Times— Sydney Sun Special Cables.) PARIS, 29th October. The newspapers state that the army and navy took a large part in the Portuguese rising. Fifty officers, including two generals, have been arrested. The warships were : kept at a safe distance by the fire of the forts.
