The Grand Jury is considering whether to bring a charge of perjury, against certain witnesses in whatsis known as the "Slingsby legitimacy case." Lieutenant Slingsby, of the British Navy, and his American wife are endeavouring to prove that a child aged three is their legitimate son. Other members of the Slingsby family seek to show that Hie child was changed at birth, and that its parents were a Santa Rosa High School girl and a chauffeur. Large estates depend on the issue.
