GARRISON OFFICERS' CLUB
In the House of Representatives this afternoon, Mt. Laurenson asked the Minister of Defence whether it is a fact that the members of the Wellington Garrison Officers' Club have been given an ulti- ■ matum that they must either obey orders or resign their commissions. [Note. — It is rumoured in Wellington that an ultimatum of this nature has been given.] The Hon. Mt. Allen replied that no such ultimatum has been given.
The fact that a lady (Dr. Edith is a candidate is adding interest to the election of a member for the Miramar Borough Council to-day. The only other claimant for the support of . the electors is Mr. Albert H.
