SUICIDE AT KELBURNE
Theodore Augustus Rabe, a saddler, 46 years of age, residing at No. 8, Springfield-terrace, Kelburne, committed suicide between a late hour last night and early this morning. Detec-tive-Sergeant M'llveney, who investigated the matter, found a bullet wound in deceased's right temple, and a fivechambered revolver in his right hand. There was also a thick cord round the neck of deceased, one end of the cord being fastened to a rafter in the lavatory, to which the body was hanging. Deceased had not been sleeping well for somo time past. He retired last night about 11 o'clock. At 5.30 this morning he was missed, and about 6.30 a.m. his body was found. The following note was found by the police fastened by a safety-pin to tho deceased's pyjamas: — " God has 6ent me as a messenger to prepare the people that the end of the woil'd is coming. Strikes. Rumours of wars. Pestilence. Sock ye the Lord jyhihs H§ may., yet ba faun.4"- • 1 • " -~* it
