Hobhouse, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, speaking at Bristol, said 'he was sanguine there would be rapprochement on the Home Rule question. He added that if opportunities for peace were neglected it would be disastrous, and equally disastrous if violence was | yielded to.
