Daigety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, hava received the following oabte from their Adelaide office under date of the 20th instant: — "At our sales the total offering! amounted to 28,500 bales, of which quantity our own catalogue comprised 4670 bales. Wools of good quality were from par to Ik Per cent, higher, and faulty wools par to 2£ per cent, lower. Continental buyers ore purchasing at almost any price." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 22nd inst. : — Tallow — We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: — Fine mutton, 36s 6d per cwt ; good beef, 34s 6d per cwt ; mixed, 33s 3d per cwt. The market has, a Jowßr tendency. Wheat — We have sold an Australian cargo at 34s 9_d, c.i.f. The market is firm but inac-t tive, owing to increased supplies. General market prospects: Tho outlook is discouraging-. We quote per quarter, c.i.f., New Zealand wheat: — Long-berried, 33s 6tl; 6hort-berried, 335. Oats — Gartons, 21s; Sparrowbills, 20s 6d. The outlook is discouraging.
