There was an enthusiastic .celebration of Trafalgar Day at the Town -Hall. Sir George Reid, High Commissioner in London for the Australian Commonwealth, delivered the following message to Australia from Field-Marshal Lord Kitchener, British Agent in Egypt : "I have been watching carefully your military achievements since I left, and am more than pleased. I am delighted that you are evolving a sound military ' system."
