WEDDINGS ABROAD (From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, 12th Sept.

A recent marriage of New Zealand interest was that of Miss Audrey Richardson, of Dunedin, the talented violinist, who has been a very successful Btudent at the Guildhall School of Music for some years and who has played many times in public in London at important concerts. , Her marriage took place at St. Columba's Church of Scotland, Pontstreet, the bridegroom being Dr. OswaldSmith, who has been in practice at Sanderstead, Surrey, for some time. This will be their future home. The wedding was a quiet one, and there were no bridesmaids. The bride was in white charmeuse with a coatee of beautiful lace, and a large wlute hat trimmed with lace. She carried a bouquet of white heather. Captain Richardson gave his daughter away. One of the officiating clergy was a brother of tho bride- 1 "' groom. At the termination of tho honeymoon, which is being spent 111 Italy, Dr. and Mrs. Oswald-Smith will return to Sanderstead. At Milton Bryan Church, Bedfordshire, the marriage took place on 10th (^September, of the Rev. Hugh Spencer Gascoyen Beard, curate of Ringwood, Hampshire, only son of Dr. and Mrs. Spencer Beard, of Masterton, New Zealand, 'to Winifred Amy Parr, younger daughter of the Rev. J. Parr and Mrs. Parr, of Milton Bryan Rectory.. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. B. Board, Rector of Thurnscoe, Yorkshire, assisted by Bishop Hamlyn (late of Accra), cousin of the bride, and the Rev. E. A. Parr, brother of the bride. The bridegroom has not been in New Zealand for some years. He is a graduate of Selwyn College, Cambridge, and he received his theological training at Wells. The service wa3 a choral one, and the bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of pale mushroom zebreme, with hat to match trimmed with pink roses ; her bouquet was of pink carnations. Miss Edith Parr, tho bridesmaid, ■ was dressed in cream French voile and a brown velvet hat. Mr. Fitzraaurice was best man. Among those present at the ceremony and the subsequent reception were : Dr. tSpencer Beard (father of the bridegroom), Miss Constance Beard (sister), the Rev. Arthur and the Hon. Mrs. Dale, Colonel and Mrs. Mercer, Colonel and Mrs-. Fenwick, Dr. and Mrs. Holmes, Dr. and Mrs. Charnock Smith, Mrs. and Miss Foyster, the Rev. T. Tatham and Mrs. Tatham, Dr. and Mrs. Waugh. The bride and bridegroom are spending their honeymoon at Boscastle, North Cornwall.
