Sea.— Very heavy on the West Coast of the South Island; heavy on the West Coast of the North Island, in Ccok and Foveaux Straits, and between Castlepomt and Kaikoura; rough elsewhere, and increasing off the East Coast of the, South Island after 24 hours. Tides.— High on all the "Western Coast; good elsewhere. Warning signals for westerly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Dietnen, Tiritin, East Cape, Castlepoint, Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulwind, and at Stephen Island, Nugget Point, and Centre Island.
